overheard this week

carter: mommy, i don't want to watch the 'lympics. what about my shows? (i've now officially memorized the theme songs for "Dora the Explora" and "Go Diego Go" - thank goodness for the "lympics!!)

carter: my hair is getting too short, i need a hair cut! (um...what??)

carter: do cookies help us grow big and strong? (no, no, no, no, and no)

carter: mommy you look sharp, but i look even sharper than you. (is that even a compliment??)

halle's favorite word is "hi" - she says it all day and all night, and uses different voice inflections when delivering her "one-liner". :)

where's halle?

looking at the blog, i realized that halle was missing in the past few posts. she is doing well and learning new things everyday! she can sign "more" and she loves to eat bananas. she loves to chase people and be chased. and she can climb up and down stairs/steps/stools very well. see above for a few recent pictures...

carter: mommy, why don't you ever take me to outer space?

carter: remember when i was little and i used to throw food on the floor, mommy?

carter: why do i have to keep eating fruits and vegetables? i am already big and strong.

The missing piece

Carter's new favorite hobby - putting puzzles together! His mommy loves puzzles, so she was so happy when Carter began putting them together too. He can put a 24-piece puzzle together all by himself! Halle loves to watch him work on them.

They grow up so fast...

Can you believe Carter is already shaving?! :) He loves to play with his "Cars" shaving kit from his cousins Zachary and Benjamin. I think he "shaved" for about 35 minutes tonight. :)

Up, Up, and Away

This past weekend Carter and Halle hiked South Mountain - Carter hiked all by himself for an hour and a half! Halle hiked with assistance from Daddy and fell asleep halfway through. :)

The weather was beautiful as were the views.
